Joseph Cuttaia Jr of Temperance, MI passed away suddenly at his home on November 12, 2017, at the age of 69 years. Known to friends as Joe, he was born in Toledo, Ohio May 1, 1948 to Joseph Sr and Eleanor. Joe had a big heart and was willing to help anyone that needed it without hesitation. He was an avid car enthusiast who turned his love into a career specializing in custom paint and bodywork, opening his own business and regularly showing cars and winning many awards. Joe had a tenacious work ethic that would always rub off on those around him, and lives on through his kids who display that trait. As a car aficionado he also enjoyed following NASCAR and rooting for his favorite driver Dale Earnhardt Jr, he could often be found at the Toledo Speedway or setting up a go-kart for the kids to ride around the yard. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and brother Angelo. He is survived by three children; sons Joseph III, and Kevin (Shannon), daughter Lacey (Scott), sisters Janice and Darlene, as well as granddaughter Allison. He also remained close to his former wife Lori Zasada as well as Lori’s other daughter Ashley and her sons Jonathon and Braxton. Visitation will be held Thursday, 11/16 from 3-7 at Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd, Temperance, MI. Services celebrating Joe’s life will be held at 11:00 Friday morning at the funeral home.
